This Morning Mojo read us an article from The Mobile Press-Register about an open casting call that will be taking place in Mobile this weekend. There are many ways us Alabamians can take this, so I’ll just let you read the article…

Horror film to have casting call Saturday

New Line Cinema will shoot a pivotal sequence for the fourth film in its popular "Final Destination" horror film franchise at the Mobile International Speedway in Irvington later this month. The production is seeking local people to be extras in the movie that will be in theaters next year

An open casting call for extras will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mobile Civic Center.

"As of right now," casting associate Jason Landry said today, "we are looking for 250 people who are going to be paid as extras. It could be more than that."

The pay rate is $79 for a 10-hour day, with any overtime hours beyond 10 hours to be compensated at a time-and-a-half rate, Landry said.

He said the production has a special need for "mechanics or pit crew types" as well as owners of motor homes and other recreational vehicles. All applicants must be 18 years old.

The film production will be at the racetrack May 22 and 23, as well as May 27 through May 31, Landry said.

WE then learned of a new type of church that is starting to grow in Whales. They type of church…The Jedi Church, and yes you guessed it right when you try to think of the origin of the name. It is founded by people who use the messages from the Star Wars films as a guide to life! The reason this church was in the news was because of an attack from…DARTH VADER!!! No really read…

HOLYHEAD, Wales —

A man who dressed up as Darth Vader, wearing a garbage bag for a cape, and assaulted the founders of a group calling itself the Jedi church was given a suspended sentence Tuesday.

Arwel Wynne Hughes, 27, attacked Jedi church founder Barney Jones — aka Master Jonba Hehol — with a metal crutch, hitting him on the head, prosecutors told Holyhead Magistrates' Court.

He also whacked Jones' 18-year-old cousin, Michael Jones — known as Master Mormi Hehol — bruising his thigh in the March 25 incident, prosecutors said.

The two cousins and Barney Jones' brother, Daniel, set up the Church of Jediism, Anglesey order, last year. Jedi is the faith followed by some of the central characters in the "Star Wars" films.

The group, which claims about 30 members, says on its Web site that it uses "insight and knowledge" from the films as "a guide to living a better and more worthwhile life."

Unfortunately for Hughes, his March attack was recorded on a video camera that the cousins had set up to film themselves in a light saber battle.

"Darth Vader! Jedis!" Hughes shouted as he approached.

Hughes claimed he couldn't remember the incident, having drunk the better part of a 2 1/2-gallon box of wine beforehand.

In the 2001 United Kingdom census, 390,000 — 0.7 percent of the population — listed Jedi as their religion.

Make sure to listen in on Thursday!
